Oldham’s Shobna Gulati hopes to be serving up a winner when she takes part in the latest series of “Celebrity Masterchef” tonight.

The actress, best known for appearing in “Coronation Street” and “Dinner Ladies”, shows she also has culinary talents as she prepares a dish of her own choice for judges Greg Wallace and John Torode.

But then she has to team up with her first round rivals, weathergirl Sian Lloyd, and former snooker star Dennis Taylor to serve up meals for paying customers at the top class Howard restaurant in London.

Is it a clean plate for Shobna, or will she be one of the leftovers? Find out at 8 pm tonight on BBC One.
