CHILDREN at Broadfield Primary School, Primrose Bank had double cause to celebrate.
The energetic youngsters skipped their way into the record books by participating in the national Guinness World record attempt for the most amount of people skipping at the same time.
The previous record was 7,632 but thanks to the 53 pupils who took part, the attempt saw 22,875 skipping at the same time across the country.
The school was later visited by Rob Roberts, from Oldham Roughyeds, who presented them with their Eco Flag. The flag marks their Eco-School status and their emphasis on sustainable and environmental practices.
