CHRIS Lennox — catching up on the news of decades gone by
CHRIS Lennox knows a right good read when he sees one.
The 70-year-old picked up the latest edition of the Chronicle’s Good Old Days magazine from Hyde’s in Oldham Market Hall.
The second edition of the magazine costs £2.50 and is packed with nostalgic photographs of Oldham’s wakes weeks holidays from years gone by.
Oldham Chronicle circulation manager Steve Duthie said: “The Good Old Days Magazine is proving a firm favourite with Oldhamers old and young. The older generation reliving memories of how the town used to be, and for the young it’s a fascinating insight into the borough’s local history as seen through the archives of the Chronicle.”
Anyone who missed the first in the series can still get a copy by calling at the Chronicle office or phoning 0161-622 2179.
