Five times a bride - but never a divorcée

A FORMER glamour model who notched up her fifth husband at Chadderton Town Hall, is facing up to seven years jail after leading a double life as a bigamist.

Emily Horne (30) was arrested when she got new lover Ashley Baker, from Oldham, to the altar after being freed from jail over a string of other illegal marriages.

She only told her fifth “husband” she was already married as they set off for their honeymoon in Scotland, in 2007.

At Minshull Street Crown Court yesterday she admitted tying the knot even though she had never divorced her first — and only legal — husband.

It also emerged that she had been through four marriage ceremonies by the age of 23

The brunette, also known as Amileannya Carmichael — branded as predatory female intent on exploiting men — appeared in adult films and also worked as an escort.

She was said to have a personality disorder and adopted false identities to carry out a string of deceptions.

Horne first wed soldier Paul Rigby in her hometown of York in December, 1996, a day after her 18th birthday.

He was posted abroad and returned to find she had left him for bank worker Sean Cunningham (33) whom she married in Leeds in February 1999. She called herself Emily Lecont, gave her occupation as a student physicist and said her father was a postman.

She left Mr Cunningham for his friend, but they never tied the knot, before marrying husband number three, 21-year-old web designer Chris Barrett in Leeds in December, 2000.

This time she used the name Emily Horne, but described herself as an ‘account handler’ whose father was a retired Army major.

She was then cautioned for two offences of bigamy in August, 2001, by West Yorkshire Police.

But, in 2002, she wed again after a whirlwind romance with James Matthews.

She proposed to the 34-year-old train guard by text message and they married in church four weeks after meeting.

A week later she admitted to Mr Matthews that she was still married to her third husband. She then left him heartbroken after just four months when she moved in with one of his friends.

She was arrested and jailed for six months by Ipswich Crown Court.

Horne married Mr Baker on September 14, 2007, in a civil ceremony at Chadderton Town Hall.

She will be sentenced on July 27.
