Forecast of ice at fun day
Date published: 24 June 2009
SUMMER might have arrived — but ice-skating will be all the rage on Saturday.
A synthetic rink will be one of the attractions when Chadderton Park FC holds a third annual fun day at its Chadderton Fold ground on Sunday.
The fun starts at 1pm and includes a bouncy castle and inflatable slide, gladiator podium and a penalty shoot out competition.
Chaddy the Owl will fly in for a visit and there will also be a football tournament with Broadway Celtic.
Last year’s event raised around £1,000 for the club which has 18 teams, from under-sevens to open age.
Secretary Steve Lynch said: “If we get good weather it will be a cracking day.
“It was absolutely packed last year and everybody had a great time.”
