Christopher’s young life celebrated

The funeral of Christopher Dale, the teenager who died when he was in collision with a car in Lees Road, Salem, takes place on Thursday.
Christopher (15), of Bramble Avenue, Moorside, was killed on June 13 as he crossed Lees Road near the junction with Wellyhole Street.
He was an outstanding Year 10 pupil at Blue Coat School and had been expected to achieve As and A*s in his GCSE exams next year.
His funeral service will be at Oldham Parish Church, and mourners are being asked to dress informally for a celebration of his life. Donations in lieu of flowers will be sent to the Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, at Bury.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned into Christopher’s death by Oldham Coroner Simon Nelson.
