Samuel notches up design award double

Ten-year-old Samuel Biggs is proving to be a talented designer after winning two competitions with his artistic skills.
He created the winning design for a logo for CHARISMA, the Campaign for Heritage And Recreation In the Sholver and Moorside Area including a framed copy of his artwork.
And Sam, who is a Year 6 pupil at Hodge Clough Junior School, also won the school’s “We Are Writers” book cover design competition.
The framed copy of his CHARISMA design was presented to Sam at the Viking fun day by Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Jim McArdle; CHARISMA chairman, Councillor Roger Hindle; and Youth Mayor, Mohammed Adil.
