Generous Asda customers in Shaw and Chadderton have helped towards raising over £1,000 for a local girls’ football team.
The Heyside Angels under-9s raised £504 when they visited the stores to help customers pack their shopping. Now Asda will match the funds with a further £504 to making the total to over a £1000.
The general manager at Asda Shaw, Moe Brien, said: “We were so impressed with the generosity of our customers that we had to match the monies raised. We are always on the look-out for local groups that we can support. The Oldham Angels are a fantastic team and we hope to build on the relationship in the future.”
