Teachers prove a class act

A TRIO of teachers from North Chadderton School proved worthy winners of a gruelling challenge.
PE teachers Sarah Semple and Jayne Roberts teamed up with geography teacher Kate Emeny to take part in the Prestwich Challenge with Kate’s sister Trish Emeny, who is a youth worker.
The race involved eight miles of running through streams, across fields, down muddy slopes and through tunnels.
Competitors also had to tackle an obstacle course, roll a tractor tyre over a set course and carry a team mate on a stretcher.
The group were named the fastest women’s team and presented with trophies, flowers and wine.
Sarah said: “We knew we were doing well as we overtook a few groups in the streams.
“The mud valley was probably the hardest part as it made running so difficult. It was a great day.”
