Comedians set for return

Comics Cannon and Ball are set to make a surprise return to Oldham on Wednesday, July 15, at a concert for Bobby Ball’s sons.

Darren Harper — half of the Harper Brothers — had equipment worth £4,000 stolen when his vehicle was raided.

Oldham artists led by singer-comedian Andy Lee, from Moorside, have got together to put on a concert at Lees and Hey Conservative Club to help Darren raise money towards replacing the gear.

“His father, Bobby, has promised to attend and there is a good chance Tommy will be there, too,” said Andy, who is hoping for a bumper attendance. Tickets are £8.
