VISITORS to Uppermill were transported around the country thanks to the magic of miniature railways.
About 160 of people got a closer look at four layouts at the annual summer model railway show at Saddleworth Museum.
The two-day event was organised by Pennine Model Railway Society and also featured trade, DVD and book stalls, and a “get-going” junior section.
It raised £194 for the museum and society secretary Richard Jackson said: “It is a really friendly show. Children love it — it’s better than being on a computer!”
