BUDDING sports stars from schools across the borough competed in a Quad Kids’ competition at Chadderton Hall Park.
The boys’ and girls’ teams from nine primary schools got into groups of four and then played four different sports during a morning session.
These included a 600 metre run, 75 metre sprint, and long jumps.
In the afternoon, pupils from 11 secondary schools got together for a similar event, which included a longer run and 100 metre sprint.
The winning teams were awarded medals at the end of the two sessions.
Steve Tyrrell, competition manager, said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the park venue was a great venue for the sports played.”
