A NEW conference centre in a converted church in Scouthead has won a Saddleworth Civic Trust award.
The Talking Point Centre was created when the former St Paul’s Church closed and was bought by Focus Education of Uppermill.
Owners Clive and Linda Davies oversaw a sympathetic restoration which preserved many of the church’s original features, including the stained glass.
