Library party to mark 25 years
Date published: 10 July 2009
Uppermill Library celebrates 25 years at its current home with a silver anniversary party tomorrow.
Events take place from 10am to 12.30pm at the former council offices in St Chad’s, off High Street.
Youngsters can look forward to a visit from professional magician and children’s entertainer Amazing Stephen. There’s also badge and mask-making throughout the day.
Adults can get creative by taking part in a dialect poetry session at 11.15am. Book lovers can test their knowledge by picking up a literary quiz sheet, with prizes for the winner.
All activities are free and there’s no need to book. For more details call the library on 01457-872 777 or e-mail uppermill.library@oldham.gov.uk
