Having their say

FITTON Hill residents had their say on the new health facilities which will be part of the area’s new £4.5 million neighbourhood centre.
The development which will be built on New Barn Road/Fircroft Road will include a library and youth and community centre, as well as affordable accommodation for voluntary groups.
The GP and dental practice, recently opened in temporary accommodation on Deanshut Road, will also move into the building along with other health services.
People found out more at yesterday’s event at the Centre for Professional Development, Rosary Road. It was organised by NHS Oldham, which runs community health services.
Alan Higgins, Oldham’s director of public health, said: “This was an ideal opportunity for people to help ensure that the health services in their area are what they want and need.”
