Away daze awaits
Date published: 14 July 2009
A GROUP of Latics fans aiming to set a record by driving to all 92 football grounds in the country in less than three days will hit the road on Friday.
The eight supporters aim to clock up more than 2,500 miles within 76 hours to raise money for The Samantha Jones Trust and raise awareness of the threat of skin cancer.
Their two cars will be waved off from Boundary Park by Oldham Athletic stars between 4.30 and 5pm.
They are aiming to raise around £5,000 for the charity with the mammoth race against the clock and are looking for sponsorship as well as fuel cards or donations.
