MATHS can be fun: Royton Hall and Blackshaw Lane pupils learn new skills at Royton and Crompton School.
MATHS is the name of the game at Royton and Crompton School where pupils of all ages are crunching numbers.
The specialist science college has organised a series of events to get students interested in maths. The week will culminate with an online quiz against Breezehill and Radclyffe Schools.
Pupils will also budget for a holiday, design a credit crunch game, enjoy an al fresco maths trail and create posters to display around the school.
Julie Ball, head of maths, said: “As a science college we specialise in science and mathematics which are important, necessary and highly marketable skills. This has to be good news for our pupils and their parents.”
