GREEN-FINGERED pupils showed off the fruits of their labour at a summer show at Daisy Nook Garden Centre, Failsworth.

Alan Andrews, horticultural teaching assistant at Kaskenmoor School, set up gardening clubs with its five feeder schools, Newbridge, Holy Family, St Margaret’s, Lyndhurst and Limeside. Limeside pupils scooped the best-in-show category for their carrots.

The prizes were presented by Oldham Mayor, Councillor Jim McArdle and Mayoress, Councillor Kay Knox.
