Flood risk survey

Oldham will be assessed for flood risks by a specialist team costing £30,000. Their results will be part of the Local Development Plan, (LDF), the blueprint for future development across the borough.

As well as filling gaps in flood risk knowledge, the team from JBA Consulting Ltd will examine potential development areas which might be at risk from river flooding.

Without the information the Environment Agency will not be able to give its backing to the LDF.
