Curious collection

SADDLEWORTH artist Sue Platt is showcasing her collection of curious objects at the Buxton fringe festival.
Oldham-born Sue, who works from her studio at Woodend Mill, Manchester Road, Mossley, will use the exhibition to explore her obsession with the curious.
She explained the items will be displayed in “odd little cabinets,” which, she said, “further enhance their curiousness.”
One is based on an apothecary, with old glass bottles and jars, another showcases a human and animal skull and a hand skeleton, and another displays bound letters.
The artist has given the title “The Theatre of the Unique” at Buxton Art Gallery and Museum any day except Monday and Sunday until September 20.
