END of an era . . . the Our Lady’s RC Primary class of 2009
MOORSIDE youngsters donned their most glamorous party gear to wave goodbye to their junior school.
Year 6 students leaving Our Lady’s RC Primary enjoyed a night of fun, games and party food at a bash hosted by Madeleine and Michael Serridge, grandparents of pupil Lucy Bowker.
The Serridges transformed their Ripponden Road home into a mini-disco with stars, streamers and balloons.
They sent invites to all Year 6 pupils and set about making banners and finding old photographs of class members.
Madeleine said: “I thought it would be nice to give the children a treat as it is a big thing to leave junior school for secondary.
“They all really enjoyed themselves and everyone made a big effort with their clothes.
“We had a lovely time.”
