AN afternoon of nostalgic music sounded a healthy windfall for the Christie’s at Oldham Campaign.
Roytoners gathered at the Trinity Methodist Church for a fund-raising concert, which raised £731.
Adrian Read and The Big Band Sound quickly filled the seats at the Radcliffe Street Church, where supporters heard a selection of songs, courtesy of the musicians and local guest vocalist Sarah Drummond.
The event, which was organised by members of The Busy Ms Ladies group at the church, is one of many being staged by generous Oldhamers to raise funds for the appeal.
