MICHAEL Howard has been successful in a national Mencap modelling competition

AN Oldham Gateway Club member is celebrating after being chosen for a national Mencap modelling competition.

The club caters for people with physical and learning difficulties and seven members agreed to sending off their picture for consideration.

Michael Howard was successful in being chosen and will now travel to London to meet other young people from across Great Britain.

He’s already used to the stage after recently appearing in the All Stars production of “Dancing through the Decades” at the Oldham Coliseum as part of the Festival of Diversity.
