Firefighters and housing staff took time off to bowl a few overs when Oldham fire crews were challenged by Great Places Housing Group to play cricket.
The match was played at Werneth Cricket, Bowling and Tennis Club in Chamber Road, where firefighters offered fire safety information and recruitment advice to spectators during breaks in play.
The game ended with the victorious fire service making 199-7.
Great Places managed to make 166-5 from 20 overs, with Masood Chaudry making an unbeaten 50.
Organiser Daniel Mountford from Great Places, said: “We had the cricket match just for fun.
“We work with the fire service a lot and it is a great way for some of our staff to get to know some of theirs a bit better.”
