Plea for return of wedding pictures
Date published: 23 July 2009
MICHELLE Steel is appealing for the return of photographs taken on her brother’s wedding day.
Robert featured in the Evening Chronicle after he turned up to marry fiancee Caroline in a Daf 105 lorry cab at East Crompton St James’s Church.
But Michelle left her camera containing her precious pictures of the big day in a taxi.
She was among a group of guests who continued the celebrations in Oldham town centre following Saturday’s reception at Anne’s Rugby Club.
She caught a taxi home from the side of Maloney’s bar in the early hours of Saturday, but realised that she left her camera in the cab when she got home. Three calls to the firm failed to recover it.
Michelle (32), from Derker, said: “I am not so bothered about the camera, it’s the memory card with all the pictures of my brother’s wedding which I would like back.
“I would like to appeal to someone’s better nature to hand it in.”
Michelle can be contacted on 07842-604450.
