ON to a winner . . . Janice Rayner impresses the judges
PENSIONERS showed youngsters a thing or two about entertainment as they battled it out to be crowned Oldham’s Silver Star.
Scores of performers — all aged over 60 — took to the stage at Oldham Coliseum to impress judges with their singing, drama and dancing.
Acts were marked on their appearance, movement, entertainment factor, originality and personality.
Alongside the acts were stints from guest performers Alan Mellor, Ron Blackhouse, Full Circle choir, Our Lady’s RC High School Senior choir, Lois Malcolm and last year’s Silver Star winner Patricia Eyers.
