Where the money is going

Oldham residents now have access to a range of up-to-date information detailing exactly how the council is managing its finances.

As well as budget reports and the latest revenue and capital estimates, council-tax payers can also access the Budget Book, which takes a detailed look at expenditure plans and funding projections until 2012.

Councillor Lynne Thompson, cabinet member for finance and resources, said: “We actively encourage citizens to take an interest in how we are performing. Our part in that is to deliver on our commitment to unprecedented transparency by providing open access to our financial reports.
