OLDHAM Choral Society is celebrating its 125th anniversary year in floral style thanks to some green-fingered support from the council.
Staff on the borough’s nationally recognised parks and gardens apprenticeship scheme have worked in unison with the choristers to design specially-themed flowerbeds on the West Street and Mumps Bridge roundabouts.
The designs are also part of “Bloom and Grow” — Oldham’s North-West in Bloom bid.
Lawrence Croft, from Oldham Choral Society, said: “We are really pleased with how the designs look — they make a real splash.”
The North-West in Bloom judges are set to visit Oldham on Friday.
