THE reels are rolling in Sholver as moves to make a permanent record of the area got under way at the Youth and Community Centre.
Budding film-makers in the area jumped at the chance to get behind the camera to make some films for the upcoming Love Sholver festival in September, which celebrates life on the estate.
Award-winning community film-makers, REELmcr, will train two production teams who will visit local events in Sholver over the summer to recording what’s happening in the area. Local people of all ages are welcome to get involved with the project.
Participants will gain a real insight into the industry and receive a certificate on completing the training. The filming project is being organised through Participate — the arts programme for the Housing Market Renewal scheme.
