In memory of Emma
Date published: 30 July 2009
FRIENDS and family of Emma Holt, the 21-year-old who died last year, have raised £5,485 for the British Heart Foundation.
Emma, from Lees, was born with a rare heart defect and endured many operations during her life.
She died while visiting friends in May, only eight days before her father Michael, who was battling liver cancer.
Emma’s friends and family organised a bag pack at Sainsburys, a sponsored swim and a fun day at Springhead Football Club to raise funds.
