Date published: 30 July 2009
A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after the car he was driving crashed into two concrete lamp-posts last night.
Firefighters from Oldham Fire Station cut him free after the smash in Lees New Road, Holts at 9.10pm. Police say a VW Passat had collided with a Diahatsu Terios before leaving the road and ploughing into two lamp-posts.
The 27-year-old driver suffered serious head injuries and is currently at Hope Hospital in a critical condition. No one else was injured.
