Cannabis farms charge

A SCOUTHEAD man has been charged after two cannabis farms were discovered in Oldham.
Michael Bennett (26), of Lower Turf Lane, is charged with two counts of producing cannabis, two counts of possessing cannabis with intent to supply and one count of abstracting electricity.
He was due to appear at Oldham Magistrates’ Court today.
Cannabis plants up to six feet tall were recovered after officers searched a house in Terrace Street, St Mary’s on February 2.
Six cannabis plants and various growing equipment were also recovered from a house in Lower Turf Lane on March 29.
