Artwork that’s pulling up trees

YOUNG artists have been showing off their paintings at Tandle Hill Countryside Park in Royton.
The youngsters drew the pictures at Tandle Hill and Brownhill Centres with help from two local artists Julie Chandler and Peter Carter, who work with Oldham Lifelong Learning Service.
The completed work was then hung up in trees as part of the Oldham Festival of Diversity’s Tree Transformations project.
Angela Tarkenter, countryside officer, said: “The drawings went up in the trees for a short time and will now be displayed in trees at Oldham town centre for the festival’s finale called “We Made It”, next Saturday.
