Villages are being encouraged to fly white rose of Yorkshire flags in Saddleworth this weekend.
Yorkshire Day takes place on Sunday starting at 11.15am at poet Ammon Wrigley’s statue at Saddleworth Museum car park, Uppermill.
There will be speeches and a reading of the Yorkshire Declaration and music from Diggle Band.
The band will lead a parade along High Street to the playing fields where a country fair, featuring local produce and crafts, including dry stone walling, takes place.
