Student’s chance to shine
Date published: 31 July 2009
A media student will be given a year’s placement at Oldham’s City Learning Centre to provide technical support.
The position has already been filled for the past year by a Manchester Metropolitan University student, with great benefits to school pupils, and for the introduction of the new Creative and Media Diploma.
Now Veronica Jackson, head of People, Communities and Society at Oldham Council, has approved a second placement for 2009/10.
The student placement, for a multi-media and technical support assistant, is between years two and three of the degree course, and pays £12,000 a year.
