SCHOOL may be out for summer but pupils were back at Hathershaw Technology College to take part in a summer project.
A total of 30 youngsters age 11 to 13 signed up for the two-week scheme which will see them take part in a whole host of different activities.
Last week, the group learned how to make tasty recipes in cookery classes and enjoyed different sports sessions.
Visits from the Fire Brigade and Brook Advisory Sservice are scheduled for this week, along with swimming and cycling.
The project has been funded by both the Extended Schools Programme and the Oldham Partnership for disadvantaged children.
Lorna Philip, assistant head teacher, said: “The project has been created to keep pupils occupied over the summer and get them to work together.”
