YOUNG and old gathered at Oldham Edge for the Big Event on Saturday — a day packed with family fun organised by Groundwork’s v Challenge volunteers on behalf of the Coldhurst community.

The organisers are graduate volunteers on a three-month placement delivering community projects across Oldham and Rochdale.

Anna Morell and Selina Farrell led the event and promoted it in partnership with Coldhurst Hollow Tenants and Residents’ Association, Barker Street Tenants and Residents’ Association, Oldham Partnership, Oldham Athletic and Higginshaw Rugby Club.
