Crop circle man rebailed

A FORMER Oldham Mayor’s consort, arrested for allegedly firing a shotgun as Norwegian tourists visited a crop circle in Wiltshire, has been rebailed.
Ken Wilson (62), the partner of Councillor Val Sedgwick and her consort when she was Mayor in 2003-04, was arrested on July 13 for firearms possession with intent to cause fear of violence.
After answering bail, his bail was extended until the end of this month as Wiltshire police inquiries continue.
Mr Wilson, who was also a Lib-Dem candidate for Failsworth West last year, was accused of hiding in a tent in the centre of the 300ft crop circle before jumping out and firing over the heads of a group of Norwegians visiting the design.
But the farmer who owns the land at Manor Farm, Allington, claimed Mr Wilson was legitimately shooting pigeons.
