PHIL TREATON
CONSERVATION charity Groundwork has appointed a new commercial services manager to set up new construction projects.
Phil Treaton was recruited to the post in early July having worked for Groundwork for almost a decade.
Phil started his career straight from university on the graduate volunteer programme, rising through the ranks to become programmes manager before leaving for a role with the Forestry Commission.
He said: “I am really pleased to be back with Groundwork.
“My last job allowed me to gain many new skills and, in addition to what I had learned previously with Groundwork, they will stand me in good stead for my new role.”
Phil returns to Groundwork with the responsibility of securing income for the landscape design, contracts and construction teams.
He wants to hear from anyone who has an idea for a project or is from the construction industry with employees requiring construction-based training.
Executive director Cliff Ellison said: “I am delighted Phil has accepted this challenge.”
