ROLLING repairs . . . a young cyclist gets his bike fixed
ROAD safety was the focus of an alfresco cycling session at Royton Park.
Hundreds of youngsters were given free puncture kits along with tips on how to stay safe on the streets.
Staff from Gremlins also carried out bike repairs free of charge.
PCSO Deborah Gilbert said: “The event was a real success with all the young people leaving the event with essential safety advice plus the added bonus of a safer bike. One youngster brought his new bike for a safety check and went away with a free bike lock so he can now keep his birthday present under lock and key.
“I would like to thank all the local businesses who supported the event including Somerfield, Wraggs, Co-op, Royton Market sweet stall and Barclays Bank.”
