Thriller for young on creative arts course

Pupils from Breezehill and Counthill Schools learn about video techniques at Oldham College
PUPILS from two schools had a thrilling time at a creative arts summer school.
The 22 children from Counthill and Breeze Hill spent two days working on performance, photography, costume design, media and graphic design to create a DVD.
They took on different roles — from dancers and choreographers to cameramen and editors — to produce and film a dance track to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”.
The event was organised by Oldham College which will run the academy that replaces the two schools next year.
Principal Kath Thomas said: “The work which the students have put together in such a short space of time is very impressive. The students from both schools have worked very well together.
“I hope that the time they have spent at the college, working with our tutors and facilities has been enjoyable and perhaps given them new career ideas for their future.”
