Consulate counsellor is guest

OLDHAM Mayor, Councillor Jim McArdle welcomed a special guest from the Consulate General of Pakistan.
Aamir Nisar Chaudhry is a community welfare counsellor at the consulate in Dickenson Road, Rusholme, and has been in the post since January.
He visited the mayor’s parlour to introduce himself and to encourage the Pakistani community to use the Manchester building for any help or support.
Mr Chaudhry said: “The meeting went very well. We talked about the various issues concerning the communities, and the Mayor kindly showed me round the council chamber and the main hall.”
