Union considers pay offer
Date published: 13 August 2009
MEMBERS of the largest union in Oldham, Unison, who work for Oldham Council are being consulted about a one per cent pay offer.
The offer is 1.25 per cent for the lowest paid and 1 per cent for the majority of staff apart from senior managers, from April, 2009.
Branch secretary Ann Mitchell said: “Unison is a membership-led union and their decision will determine how we proceed.
“Most of our members live in the Oldham area and their viewpoint will have an impact not just on fellow members but on the community as a whole.”
