No action against ex-consort
Date published: 14 August 2009
NO further action will be taken against a former Oldham mayor’s consort who was arrested for allegedly firing a shotgun as Norwegian tourists visited a crop circle in Wiltshire.
Ken Wilson (62), the partner of Saddleworth West and Lees councillor Val Sedgwick, was her consort when she was mayor in 2003-04. He was arrested on July 13 for firearms possession with intent to cause fear of violence.
But Wiltshire police have confirmed that no further action will be taken against him.
