WORKMEN from United Utilities have repaired a burst water pipe that flooded Oldham Fire Station in Lees Road.
Fire-fighters returned to their base at 6.45am yesterday to find water pouring into the station.
A 10in diameter pipe had burst and about 60 homes were left without water. The water supply was rerouted while repairs took place and the supply was back on by 12.30pm.
A spokesman for United Utilities said: “We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused to local households but we got the supply back reasonably quickly.”
