Old grammar school ties
Date published: 20 August 2009
A reunion for former pupils and staff of the co-educational Chadderton Grammar School will be held on October 16.
The reunion, at the Chadderton Suite, Oldham Civic Centre, starts at 7pm, and costs £15. Organiser Peter Chatterton, who is an old boy of the 1950-57 years, and now lives in Sheffield, said: “We have people coming from as far away as Australia and Canada.
“We are talking about inviting staff and pupils who were there in the years from 1930 to 1960 when it was a co-educational school, and the heads were Clem Platt, Dickie Britton and Mr Parsons.”
Anyone interested can email Peter at chaddreunion@hotmail.com or call Ray Platt on 0161-633 3539.
