Party time in Hathershaw
Date published: 24 August 2009
IT was party time in Hathershaw yesterday as residents enjoyed a street party.
The free event at the Honeywell Centre plaza — in Hadfield Street and Wyndale Road — was a blur of activity and fun as local people got together.
Entertainment included local talent performing on the big stage, a bouncy castle, trampolines, face-painting and rides plus free balloons. Community stalls featuring bric a brac, raffles and a tombola also featured along with a daredevil climbing wall and a barbecue.
The event was funded by New Deal for Communities, which organised it with The Neighbourhood Team.
