Man’s body found

POLICE have launched a murder hunt after the body of a 51-year-old man was discovered on moorland on the A640 Nont Sarah’s Road.

West Yorkshire Police identified the man as Christopher Pratt from the Grantham area of Lincolnshire.

His body was found last Wednesday evening by a member of the public at Scammonden, off Newhey Road at the far side of the Denshaw border.

Police said Mr Pratt had been missing from his home since August 18.

A 38-year old Dewsbury man arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed pending further inquiries.
