WELCOME to Boundary Park . . . Athletic's newest fan, two-week-old Lucy Savage is presented with a club babysuit by chief executive Alan Hardy (left) watched by proud parents Beckie (28) and Mark (31).
Lucy couldn't wait to arrive as she was born in the grounds of Fairfield General Hospital, Bury, literally falling into her father's arms with the mum still 50 yards short of the maternity unit.
Latics fan Mark, from Mills Hill Road, Chadderton, quickly wrapped the newborn in his club shirt as hospital midwives rushed to their aid.
Mr Hardy said: "Everyone at the club was amazed when we read the story (Chronicle, August 19).
"As Mark is a big Latics fan, we hope Lucy will grow up to be a supporter and will spend many happy hours watching her local team."
