Musical magic by youngsters

Starstruck . . . Oldham’s youngsters have worked hard to develop their theatrical side
YOUNG theatre stars took audiences through a whirlwind of West End musicals during an all- singing, all-dancing extravaganza.
The talented youngsters spent a week developing their theatrical skills with a little help from the 2-Faced Theatre Company and they staged a show at the Gallery Oldham to show off their new found talent.
The one-hour show, which was attended by the Mayor, Councillor Jim McArdle, featured numbers from classic West End Musicals, including the more recent production, ‘13’, which has just finished on Broadway.
2-Faced bills itself as a theatre company with a difference, founded on strong moral values and providing opportunities for young people to shine.
The company has already attracted high- profile support, including Oldham’s own Phillip Schofield, actor Brian Blessed and opera star Leslie Garrett, while many of the theatre company staff have played lead roles in the West End.
